Although his health had not been good since last fall, his death was unexpected, as he had been feeling as well as usual the evening before when he retired.

Quast.

On Nov. 14, 1904 he was united in marriage at Newton to Miss Jowephine Vandoske. To this union were born four daughters and three sons. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. James Catholic Church at Vesper.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, Aloyiod of Vesper, Herbert of Marshfield and Edward at home and four daughters, Mrs. Harlow (Lillian) Hagelmeyer, Milwaukee Mrs. Ernest (Marie) Dittner, Spencer Mrs. Hector (Theresa) Haasel, Miladore and Miss Octavia Bushman at home nine grandchildren two sisters, Mrs. Rose Crystal, Kiel Mrs. Anna Diem, Arlington, Calif. two brothers , John of Anaheim, Calif. and Andrew of Manitowoc. Eight brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at St. James Catholic Church at Vesper, Monday morning at 9:00 o'clock, the Rev. Father L. J. Paquette officiating. Burial was in the Vesper Cemetery.

Those from Greenwood who attended were Mr. and Mrs. John Bushman, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Korbeck and family and Mrs. Christ Scharenbrock.

I am looking for Peter Bushman. You have his obit. and it says he is buried in the Vesper Cemetery. Born 1878 – 1939. is there a different name for the cemetery?
Thank you for any help.  Rosemary Mohnsamsawsnsuch@frontier.com

Peter Bushman is buried in the St. James Cemetery 3/4 miles north of the village of Vesper on highway 186, in the front row next to the drive. Peter's dates are 1880-1939 and Josephine 1883-still alive in 1976 when the survey was made. The index of Wood County Cemeteries on the site lists St. James as the place of burial.
Hope this helps. Ken Wood @wiclarkcountyhistory.org
